Overview
If you're like me and enjoy getting hands-on writing code, then perhaps you'll indulge me as I offer a shameless plug for my new SAP Press book entitled ABAP Cookbook. In this book, I have compiled a series of code examples that I think you might find useful in your day-to-day development activities.
One of my goals in writing this book was to provide more than just a random compilation of code examples. After all, there's a wealth of these kinds of examples on SDN. When I purchase a book, I want to really dive in and learn something. Therefore, rather than just presenting the code examples, each chapter introduces a topic so that the code is presented in context. Along the way, I try to describe best practices that can be applied to your own development efforts.
As an added bonus, this book builds a code library that contains various utilities that I hope you'll find useful. This code library is maintained at the book's companion site at http://www.bowdarkconsulting.com/books/abapcookbook. Here, I also welcome feedback and will post errata as needed.
