After the success full development of the BPM curriculum at the Global SAP University Alliances which consists of more than 900 Universities, the developed BPM curriculum will now be rolled out to Universities all over the world. The core team that developed this innovative curriculum, joined their forces from four universities (both IT Universities and Business Schools) in three different countries with vested interest in Business Process Management, Business Modelling, Value Management, Performance Management and Enterprise Architecture.  They brought together a rich blend of both academic and industry experience to contribute to a maturing field in Business and IT.  The team consisted of Siavash Moshiri (Sheffield Business School, United Kingdom), Ann Rosenberg (SAP and IT University, Denmark), Prof. Dr. Karin Gräslund (Wiesbaden Business School, Germany) and Prof. Dr. Mark von Rosing (Copenhagen Business School and IT University, Denmark).

The Curriculum Development Team

The Development team adopted an agile collaboration approach to the development of the curriculum to be able to deliver the output in a very short time. The curriculum incorporates 14 sessions covering the following topics: Business Process Management as a Management Tool, Processes and the Process Evolution, Technology Evolution, BPM Framework - Method and Models, BPM and Business Model Management, BPM Governance in details (Strategy, Set-up, Transition and Continues Improvement), BPM Governance link to IT and Business Governance, BPM and Sustainability, The new approach for implementing process based IT solutions and BPM Technology (Business to model and model to execution).

The BPM have been piloting at the IT University of Copenhagen where the last teach was completed sucessfully Saturday May 9th 2010. Below you find a picture of the class.

This BPM Curriculum will give the students the possibility on top of their BPM University Exam also to take the TOGAF Business Architecture Certification from the Open Group and SAP Business Process Expert (BPX) Associate Certification. This is truly an innovative approach, there is one University BPM Curriculum that enables 3 Certifications, one which is a University exam and two very valued industry certifications.
