With the launch of the new SAP Community Network (SCN) rapidly approaching, there are some important actions we need you to consider to ensure that your content is not lost.

First, it's important to note that we will begin some significant migration work starting on Saturday, March 10, starting at 11:59pm CET (that's German time - converts to 2:59pm PST and 5:59pm EST for quick reference). In essence, while we do this work, we'll have a "freeze" on new content. We will notify users once the work is complete and the freeze is lifted. We want you to be aware of this so you don't lose any content or encounter unnecessary functionality issues. We hope these tips will help you prepare for our short-term content freeze:

DISCUSSION FORUMS: : Refrain from using discussion forums during the migration period; once our work is complete, we’ll notify users on the SCN home page. Please keep a record of your discussion questions and responses, both for your own purposes, and to possibly add when the site opens back up.

BLOGS: If you have a blog in "draft" mode and are prepared to publish it, we suggest you do so prior to the content freeze date/time (March 10 at 11:59pm CET). If you are not ready to publish it, please consider saving a copy locally so you can return to your work. All blogs in "draft" mode will unfortunately be lost during this migration step.

WATCHES: We expect discussion forum "watches" to be lost during this migration. We suggest you catalog your watches for yourself and re-assign once the site is back up.

If you haven't had a chance to review some of the blogs, documents and videos we've prepared to get you ready for the new SCN, have a look in our New SCN wiki. As we continue moving towards launch, we'll continue to update you with new resources and tips to ensure a smooth transition.
