A podcast from SOA Middleware Product Management, March/April 2008.

Paul Read talks to Sindhu Gangadharan about service-oriented architecture (SOA) Middleware with a focus on Process Integration (PI).

SAP NetWeaver enables IT organizations to use standards-based Web services to form new and innovative business solutions that quickly meet their changing business needs.
Powered by SAP NetWeaver, SOA Middleware technology facilitates communication between disparate applications, and provides an open and standards-based platform to accelerate business integration.

In this podcast, we look at the main features and capabilities of the SOA Middleware technology: the Enterprise Services Repository, the Services Registry, the Enterprise Service Bus, and the SOA Management Tools.

We move on to talk about the various connectivity options for providers and consumers, Process Component Modeling methodology, design-time governance, reuse of enterprise SOA assets, and mass configuration.

We then summarize how SOA Middleware is shipped to SAP customers, as part of the SAP NetWeaver Process Integration and Composition Environment products.

We end with an outlook on SOA Middleware enhancements due for release later in 2008.
