"We need a SDN/SCN Book of World Record"

A man went on a shooting party with his friends to a bar. He became involved in an argument over which was the fastest game bird in Europe. That evening he realized that it was impossible to confirm in reference books whether or not the golden plover was Europe’s fastest game bird.

He knew that there must be numerous other questions debated nightly in different places throughout world, but there was no book in the world with which to settle arguments about records. He realized then that a book supplying the answers to this sort of question might prove popular. With this idea he started the book that listed world records for all sort of known things.

While reading through this fascinating story, I realized that we SDNers should also have a “SDN/SCN Book of World Records” which will be like a record book for all SDN/SCN activities. To list few are –

  • Most contributions in any area by an individual.
  • Most Articles submitted by an individual.
  • Fastest 1000 points in SDN/SCN.
  • Most viewed Article on SDN/SCN.
  • Most favorite individual on SDN/SCN.
  • Etc

This book or site will not only encourage positive competition between SDNers to contribute more for getting recognized and getting registered in “SDN Book of World Records” but also make their commitment visible to SDN community.

Clients/Customers are using SDN/SCN for resolving their problem, they know who the SAP Mentors are, which SDN Forum they have to post their question, but do SDNers know who is helping these clients/customers most to get their problem resolved.

Few SDNers have lifetime points greater than 50,000. Do we know how they reached there, how much time they dedicated for SDN/SCN? We should have a list of SDN/SCN Legends to appreciate their hard work in keeping this community working.

This idea is open for discussion. Thanks for reading!
