Well, the blogosphere asks where Apple is, but for me it's more interesting where SAP is. While Apple recently shows ignorance to Java (declining to support Java on iPhone and constantly delaying JDK for Mac), I guess SAP investing serious effort in Java part of NetWeaver platform to get under suspicions 🙂

Googling shows that SAP is a cosponsor this year, but where are technical sessions? It's quite surprising for me that I saw no announcements here on SDN given the fact that SAP WebAS is first certified J2EE 5 application server and all that work done in "Services and Integration" area.

The sole reference about SAP at JavaOne in online media I've found so far is InfoQ article about technical session "Using SAP4Rails to Quickly Develop for SAP" presentation by Dan Mcweeny from Colgate-Palmolive. As I can see from the project page (http://raa.ruby-lang.org/project/sap4rails/) we can address all our kudos to Piers 🙂
