A short article was posted in the USPS Sept/Oct MailPro, which you can find at this link: http://www.usps.com/mailpro/2010/sepoct/page6.htm

The article states:
"Beginning May 2011, to be eligible for automation prices on letter-size and flat-size mailpieces, mailers will need to use the Intelligent Mail barcode (IMb), either the Full Service or Basic option, in place of the POSTNET barcode. Additionally, the PLANET Code barcode, used with Confirm service for mail tracking, will be retired. To receive Confirm service after May 2011, mailers will have to use the IMb."

Previous Postalsoft blogs have been posted around Intelligent Mail; this is just a friendly reminder.

You can find more information on Intelligent Mail on the USPS RIBBS site: http://ribbs.usps.gov/index.cfm?page=intelligentmail

You can find helpful IM information on the Postalsoft Portal, including product specific wiki pages at the bottom of the site (e.g. TEM testing, How To's for Postalsoft DeskTop Mailer/Business Edition, recorded webinars, etc.): SAP BusinessObjects Postalsoft Suite

SAP BusinessObjects Postalsoft products (Presort, Label Studio, DeskTop Mailer and Business Edition) are IM compliant and ready for this change.
