Dear all,
I configured my PO release strategy with 2 characteristics
1. PO Value (three ranges; Currency format, 15 chars, multiple values, interval values allowed)
2. Purchasing group (Char format, 3 char, multiple values)
I then assigned them to the 032 class. The class group in the basic data tab of the class is empty. Does that need to be populated?
I created a PO with a value of 4 million and the release strategy is not triggering. I tried to test it at the most basic level. Is there something I am missing? Any help is appreciated.
Cheers,
C
Check the charstics for table and fields, assignments in class, assignments to release group,if every thing perfect.then perform Check Release Strategies which is next to Define Release Procedure for Purchase Orders in IMG.the system shows you the errors where you did wrong.reward me if this helps

Have you done the following?
1) Assign the class to the release group in the release strategy configuration?
2) Maintain values in classification in CL20N or CL24N? The following values should be maintained - for purchasing group, all should be entered separately (not as interval) and for value, maintain "> 0".
Let me know if this works.

Pavan and Lakshan-
1. I have unchecked the boxes 'Not ready for input
2. I have assigned the class to release grp(this was already done)
3. The characterisitcs are defined as value and intevals only.
Lakshan- Do I have to maintain an entry for >0 also. I only need the release startegy where the PO value is more than 1 million USD.
I appreciate your responses.
Cheers,
C
