Semaphore statistics very high please help

Dear All,

In Semaphore statistics very high .please guide .how to solved it.

we are using windows 2003 and Ecc5

In which transaction or file u are saying semaphores are high

is the disk utilization high, how much free space available in the tablespaces.

Hope for further check here

If this is the first time going there, then be sure to read the legend carefully:

first line = "Wait time entering the critical path"

second = "Residence period in the critical path"

I never came across such high semaphores

The above log is of Semaphore in St02 deatils.

we are using windwos 2003 ,Ecc5 and oracle 9i.

I am geting Sem in Sm50. and by obervation i am getting number 14, 38 and 7 manny times . form note 33873

7: PAGING-Semaphore (paging administration)

14: PRES_BUF-Semaphore (presentation buffer)

38: SEM_CCMS_AS_MONI_KEY (CCMS monitoring for appl.s)

But i need sugging how to solve the problem .

the other log are os ST06 and St02.

I gont have much free space.

The problem is system is working very slow and getting hang.

In st06 the Lan high.

No there is hardware chnage.There is only SAN EVA upgrade Software is installed .

Hi to all,

I have the same situation, ECC5.0 with W2003 with Oracle 9i, the CI and the DB in cluster, and 4 apps instances.

Every time I open a trx in SM50 I see semaphore 38

I have saw that this pointing to any CCMS issue...

Did you find any solution?
