ESS with webdynpro user mapping.

Hi all,

We have configured the ess webdynpro package 60.2 on the portal ep6 sp 11.

for all portal user's are getting the same employee information . How to get the user specific information from ecc 5.0.

In case of ESS with ITS we used to map the backend (R 3 4.7) user id to the its system alias in Portal.

In ESS with webdynpro what will be the option for user mapping?

For WebDynpro, the users for backend are defined in JCo under SLD. Typically you need to use SSO for this definition.

Can you please explain me in detail?

I have created the JCo connections and tested. I have created same portal ids as backend users and attached different employees to this back end users.

But i am getting the backend hr information for only one employee ( the employee assigned to backend user which is used for JCO ).

Is sso with userid password is possible in this case?

or only sso with ticket is the only option?

If you define one user in your JCO, this will be the user logging on to backend R/3, and hence it gets information for only this employee. If you want different frontend user to get data for different backend user, you have to user SSO in the JCO definition. When you define JCO in SLD, it has an option to use SSO.

'ESS with Webdynpro' needs a Webdynpro runtime system where the Webdynpro components can be run.

you can provide the development portal userid and password.
