Hi Experts

I have created a new package, say zy44. When I created a Message Class and tried to assign to the new package zy44, it shows the following Error:

Cannot extend package zy44.

Please Suggest

Thx

Hi

In se21 tcode...see if "Allowed Object Types" , in that select "no restrictions". So, now it should work.

Hi Sri

In the tab, Attributes -> Package Properties, I have the following things (in EDIT Mode):

(Checkbox-Editable) Main Package

Surrounding Package (Grayed-noneditable)

(Grayed Checkbox-NonEditable) Package Not Extendable

How can I make changes?

Plz suggest

Just check Main Package.

hai,

Cannot extend package zy44.

Hi Sri Hari

Can we have objects in Main Package?

hi,

first remove the checkbox for main package and press enter then u will get package not extendable in edit mode now you can uncheck that check box.

now you can create objects in your package.

Cheers.

The resolution provided by Gautham should work for us.
If it still doesn't work. Log off your current system and Log-in back once you saved your changes.
That worked for me at least ! 🙂
