Hello!

Any idea how to undeploy a software component with the JSPM?

The SMD is no longer used in WEBAS 7.10.

Thanks for your help!

Best regards,

Olivier

Hi Olivier,

You can use the Deploy View in the NWDS: [Undeploying Archives|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/44/70655c200812d2e10000000a422035/frameset.htm].

Hello Vladimir,

Sorry for long reply but I did not receive any automatic e-mail.

Should we realy undeploy standard software components with NWDS?

In fact we found a workaround using the telnet tool to undeploy.

I thought it was possible to undeploy via the JSPM for WEBAS 7.10

Thanks for your help!

Best regards,

Olivier

Hi Olivier,

I could have also suggested you the telnet admin, but thought a GUI tool would be more convenient

What do you mean with "standard software components"? What exactly do you want to undeploy?

Hello Vladimir,

I had to undeploy PCK component because it was technicaly incompatible on a PI 7.1 j2ee engine.

Thank you very much.

Hi Olivier,

Unfortunately there is no option in JSPM allowing undeployment of components.

Undeployment is not an option as it could harm the system - removing one component could lead to inconsistencies, could require removing of dependent SCAs/SDAs or just cause functionality problems with the JAVA stack.

So in 7.1 the options for un-deploy are Deploy View and telnet and you should test the system after that to be sure everything is OK.

Does it means that if I want to undeploy something SDA/SCA file from PI 7.1 I need to have installed NWDS?

Do you have any link with required steps for undeployment using telnet?

Hi Naycho,

You could refer to following link for details:

[Undeploying Archives|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/44/70655c200812d2e10000000a422035/frameset.htm]

And yes, you'll need NWDS in order to utilize Deploy View.

The link below about telnet contains only general information

[Administration Using Telnet|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/0ad8e787652d6ae10000000a11466f/frameset.htm]

Not much about deploy/un-deploy.

Hello,

You have to undeploy with the complete name of the sda file of this application.

You will need to undeploy each sda. (You can find the name in the jspm)

Best regards,

Olivier

Hi

Below are the detailed steps to undeploy the SAPXIPCK

1)Open MMC on PI 7.11 system

2) Click on Java Process Table and select ICM

3) Right click on ICM say AS JAVA TELNET

4) You will get a telnet screen enter username and password

5) Run the below commands to undeploy the PCK

undeploy name=com.sap.xi.pck vendor=sap.com

undeploy name=com.sap.xi.pck.dbc vendor=sap.com

undeploy name=com.sap.xi.pck.dbs vendor=sap.com

undeploy name=com.sap.xi.pck.migration.module vendor=sap.com

At the end of each command u will get the status whether it is success or not.

e.g:

SDA(s) ADMITTED FOR UNDEPLOYMENT [1]:

- [Success] : [1]

- [Aborted] : [0]

- [Warning] : [0]

- [Skipped] : [0]

- [PrerequisiteViolated] : [0]

- [NotDeployed] : [0]

- [NotSupported] : [0]

===== SUMMARY - END UNDEPLOY RESULT =====
