Report execution problem

when i tried to create number range with respect to mateial group i got following error:-

System error during group maintenance

Message no. NR899

Diagnosis

The system has identified an inconsistency in the tables for number range maintenance.

System response

Program termination.

Procedure

In most cases, you can overcome this by executing the report RSSNR0T1 (Consistency check and repair of number range intervals) This report lists the inconsistencies and eliminates them (with F11 = "Confirm").

Sir please tell me exactly what i have to do in tcode SE38 .

First of all Number Ranges Can be Created and assigned to Material Types and Not Material Groups. Use MMNR and Create a Number range Group and insert a New interval and Maintain Number range and then Assignt he number range Group to Material type and Save.

Thanks monohar sir,but i wish to explain you entire situation :-

In MMNR i had defined ranges as 0000000000001 to 000000999999999 & 100000000000 to 109999999999999 ,then i click on change group icon here first up all i had selected material group by clicking check box then i had selected material type ROH (the colour of ROH turns sky blue ) then i click on element/group ,below test1 group ROH appears .Then i had selected ROH and click on maintain icon .So i am getting above message.

Sir in such case please tell me exactly where i have to do correction.

Please refer to SAP Note 11294 which will clear your issue.

Run Program RSSNR0T1 (using transaction: SE38)

Identiify and Insert the Material Master number range object to be used and if any Inconsistencies in your number range will be shown.

If there are any inconsistencies, save the results. Proceed recreate your number range group.

Sir thanks for your reply but problem is i dont know how to read SAP Note 11294 .Can you plesae tell me where i will get that note.

Ask ur system head or deptt head to log in at SAP service market place from where u all can download the SAP notes.

also if i am getting it right then first select the check box of the group u have created, then position the cursor on the material type,the select element (f2) and then assign element/group (f5) and then save

Thanks sir your suggetion worked sucessifully,but my basic problem is not yet solved .Sir by ME21N we create Standard PO ,instade of standard PO i wish to create PO with respect to material type ie for ROH & VERP also system should take different no. ranges for both .How to do this setting ?

spro - mat mgmt - purchasing - Pur order

Here u have to create a new number range ..

Then create a new doc type say RH or VP by copying NB ... remember to select "copy all" option

then assign the new number range to new doc type

then u can create a new PO with new number range in ME21N
