Hi,

Pls. find more details about Engineering Change Management ;

Engineering Change Management

Technical name: SAP_LO_ECH_MAINTAIN

Tasks

The Engineering Change Management processor creates simple change master records and engineering change requests and processes them further. He prepares the change to the production order or the purchase requisition in that he identifies the requests or purchase requisitions affected by a change. In addition, he carries out the reporting of the Engineering Change Management.

This single role also includes the workbench for Configuration Management, since this can not be used effectively without Engineering Change Management.

Dear,

The Engineering Change Management process uses Engineering Change Masters (ECM) in SAP to provide history for BOMs, Rate Routings, & Reference Rate Routings. This procedure defines how to:

Create and change Engineering Change Masters.

Utilize Alternative Dates to establish different effectivity dates for the same change to different BOMs, Rate Routings and Reference rate Routings.

Following are the some commonly used T-codes

CC01

Create change number

CC02

Change change number

CC03

Display change number

In the config of Material master , BOM, Master Recipe, Routing & other master date we config that whether changes can be done with history or w/o history, the change number to be enterred mandatory or not.

Hi,

Engineering Change Management is used to track and control all the changes with reference to Material master, BOM, Work Center & routing. First you need to create a Change master thru CC01 T-code, it will give one change number. Using this no you can change all the masters. By default u need to activate the change number, thru ABAP program uou need to activate this field as a mandatory. Through authorisation we can control the access.

V. Suresh
