Hi, I am trying to create a ECATT script for the T.code FSP0 ( creation of GL account). I am able to start recording but when I end my transaction, I want to stop the recording by clicking on the stop recording button, but system is not showing me the record running screen where the stop recording button exists.
Please let me know if anyone of you had this issue in the past and how to correct.
Regards
Vara

HI,
I think you are using SAPGUI mode.
First enable the scripting option, so that you wont be getting the Message " A script is trying to attach to the GUI" while recording.
Click on these two links and Please make sure you are following the process.

Hi Vara,
I do not understand why. Can you please try with Alt+Tab on your keyboard to see whether you can switch between different windows and find the 'Recording Running' window.
Kind Regards, Qian

Hi,
I did Alt+tab to switch between different windows but I couldnt find " Record running window". It looks strange to me. Before starting script I see the Record now button but when I click on that , a new window appears for capturing but the record running window disappears. After completing the recording , I cant stop the recording. This is my issue.

Hello ,
If you are trying to record using TCD REC mode then a popup window appears asking you to enter the transaction code once you enter the t code , the control directly jumps to the transaction specifed in the target system, then you can start recording once done keep pressing back button or save button and then back button until you close the new window opened of the target system. At this stage you should be getting popup in eCATT asking you "Do you want the transfer recording" upon clicking yes the recording ends.
If you are using SAPGUI recording then a pop-up windown appears asking for wheter to start recording once you click on yes , this popup window doesnt get closed , it will be minimized once you are done with the recording , maximize the window and you can see the button Stop recording. Upon clicking recording ends.
Hope it answers your question.
Thanks and Best regards,
Ajay

Hi Ajay,
When I start recording the transaction, I am not getting the pop up where you need to click on yes but I am getting a small popup with the message " A script is trying to attach to the GUI " which has OK and CANCEL two option. When I click on OK , it is taking me to the new screen which is for the T,code we entered. When I finished moditying the fields with the data I want , I want to stop the recording which I am unable to do it.
I am not getting the popup window and cant see the record running window. Do I need to do any settings to get these..

Hello,
Please check if this setting solves your problem .
Goto the eCATT system in the main screen press ALT + F12 and select options in the pop-up screen select the scripting tab and make the following settings.
check only the Enable Scripting option and uncheck all the other options.
And make the similar setting in your target system aswell in which you want to record the transaction.
Hope this answers your question.
Thanks and Best regards,
Ajay

Hi vara,
Have you checked, whether you are going for manual generation or automatic generation, after pressing ok again a popup will come which have the option of start recording, in the upper part there are two options one is manual generation , by default it is manual generation , remove the check mark, automatically the automatic generation tab is enabled the put the check mark at automatic generation, and then click start recording then you can find the button called stop recording popup will be apppears.
I hope this will help you.
