Regarding the Reservation

Hi Frnds,

I am trying to solve some reservation problems but I want to know the scenario where the Reservation is applicable....

Please help me by giving me some suggetion about the Reservation of goods, when the Reservation of goods can be done?

hi,

Reservations are used in the inventory management....by its name we can understand that it is system which reserves the goods for the further use....

1. For eg IN MRP, MRP is used to maintain the goods level in the inventory may be for the production or the goods issue for any of the further use...

2. It may be used for the providing the goods issue if the date and time is fixed, then for that date you see whether is it possible to gain the materials/goods from the vendor a particular date....if not possible then it becomes easy to plan to procure from other vendors...

But for reservations you have to see the Mvt allowed indicator in the SPRO settings...

Hi,

Reservations are used to retrieve consumable goods from Stores for a cost centre. In SAP when each department is created with a cost centre, the common consumable materials used by various departments can be retrieved by booking the cost of goods issued against a cost center. For this booking reservations are used to have a control and a procedural process to stream line the process.
