Change ship tos in deliveries for one-time ship to

Hi Gurus,

User creates an order with a one-time ship to address. Now in order to create multiple deliveries for items in this order, user changed the ship to address on the delivery headers. But after user changes the ship to address on the delivery header, this address copies over to the sales order header so because of that all the other deliveries also get the same ship to. Can anyone suggest how to change the ship to address in the deliveries without affecting sales order and other deliveries in case of one-time ship tos?

Hi,

A better way to hadle the situation is overwriting the ship-to address in the sales order item level.

In the sales order item level, go to the tab Partners for each line item.

There enter the ship-to partner function (even one already exists). Then click enter. This will make this partner as item level partner.

Highlight the partner and click on the details button at the bottom. The address window will pop-up. Here you can change the address.

Then save the order. By this way, when the delivery is created for the same ship-to number, the address will carry different.

Thanks for the response. I'm not able to change the ship to at item level as its greyed out.

Hi,

Try to enter the ship-to number again at item level (even though the same number is populated by the system already).

Then hit enter button. The system will pick the new ship-to number, which will allow you to overwrite the address. Highlight the ship-to number and click on the detail button at the bottom, this leads to address window, where in you can change the address. Then save the order.

Thanks for the reply Shiva however another issue with following this process is that if there are 20 items in a delivery then I have to change ship to address for all 20 items rather than on the delivery header. is there any way to break this link between order and delivery so that the change in delivery header does not affect sales order header?

Hi

The address is changed because the address number is the same. In the sales order you have to have different address numbers for the ship-to parties on item level.
