Delete request from ods

Hi Gurus,

suppose some requests are loaded in ODS and from ODS those requests are loaded into INFOCUBE. Now can i delete the request from the ODS.

suppose if requests can be deleted then will there be any problem for the data in infocube for next time loading?

suppose if requests can be deleted then can we get back those requests to ods again.

Hi,

If you want to delete requests that have already been updated in connected data targets, you have to adjust the connected data targets manually.

Procedure

...

1. In the administration of the data target, choose the tab page Requests. For your request to be deleted, choose Data Mart Status for the Data Target. The following dialog box displays the request that was updated in additional data targets. Keep the description of this request in mind.

2. Choose Monitor on this dialog box. You arrive at the monitor for this request.

3. Choose Manage Data Targets. You arrive at the administration for the connected data targets.

4. Delete the respective request.

5. This takes you to the source ODS object administration screen.

6. Reset the delta administration. To do this, choose Data Mart Status for the Data Target and from the subsequent dialog box, choose Reset Delta Administration.

7. Now you can also delete the respective request from the source ODS object. You can now load data as full or data again.

Hi Ram,

If you request you want to delete is green then you can get back your deleted request(green) from the re-construct tab.

Request deleted on ODS will have impact on cube data.

hi ram,

Go to context menu of ods click manage.Go to requests tab, select the request to be delted. and press the delete button. the data pertaining that request will be delted.

I guess it wont affect for next time loading into the cube bcs for every delta load to the cube a new request will be generated.
