Hi

You can enter specific quantity limit values in the property tree of a tracked substance that apply for the substance in the respective regulation. That means you can specify the maximum absolute quantity of the substance (for example, in tonnes) that a regulation permits you to purchase, import, produce, sell, or export.

In Customizing for Substance Volume Tracking, you can enter general quantity limit values that apply in the individual regulations for the substances to be tracked. These quantity limit values also contain absolute quantities in units of weight.

If a specific quantity limit value exists in the property tree for a tracked substance, this value overrides the general quantity limit value in Customizing. In the same way, a relative quantity limit value stored under the substance overrides a relative quantity limit value in Customizing. If you enter a specific quantity limit value in the substance but no relative quantity limit value, the system uses the relative quantity limit values in Customizing whose general quantity limits contain the specific quantity limit value for the substance.

Thus in your case quantity maintained in specification will be tracked.

Hi Samy Raja,

If you have maintained quantity limits in property tree and also IMG then, System will consider the Quantity limits mentioned in Property Tree First and

If you have not mentioned in property Tree then and then system will consider the Quantity limits mentioned in the Customization.

For your reference, please read below the text from SVT Help File

u201CThe substance-specific relative quantity limit defined in this property corresponds with the quantity stored in property SAP_EHS_1023_057 Registration (Company-Specific) in the Reported Quantities characteristic. If this is not specified, the general upper quantity limit that is defined in Customizing for substance volume tracking in the IMG activity Specify Quantity Limits and Reactions on Overall Status is used for the selected quantity thresholdu201D
