Hi All,
I tried creating an Org Assignment in PA40 and got the response "Define a chart of Accounts first for CoCode". I have defined Cost Ctr, Business Area and assigned them to CoCode but still get the same response. Can someone pls help?
Thanks!
Evita
Hi Evita,
Chart of Accounts should be defined and assigned to your company code. Check with your FI team.
Thanks,
Kanna

Definition: chart of accounts
SAP Business One (SBO)
The index of all general ledger accounts used by one or more companies.
Financial Accounting (FI)
A classification scheme consisting of a group of general ledger (G/L) accounts.
A chart of accounts provides a framework for the recording of values to ensure an orderly rendering of accounting data. The G/L accounts it contains are used by one or more company codes.
For each G/L account, the chart of accounts contains the account number, the account name, and technical information.
A chart of accounts must be assigned to each company code. This chart of accounts is the operative chart of accounts and is used in both financial accounting and cost accounting. Other charts of accounts include:
Country-specific charts of accounts -
These are structured in accordance with legal requirements of the country in question
Group chart of accounts -
This is structured in accordance with requirements pertaining to Consolidation.

Hi,
Assign the company code to chart of account in the table of V_001_S. We you can use the standard chart of accounts if you are doing the practice in ides system. If you working in the company ask to the FI consultant they will assign the company code to chart of accounts. Or else they will create one new chart of account.
