Preventive auto schduling at IP 10 OR IP 30

Dear all

The preventive maint plans are automatically schduling thro IP 30 by back ground job as per my awareness. I have working with 2 sap clients in support. In one client i have found that there is no back ground jobs for automatic generation of maintenance order. In same time another one needs the IP30 back ground.

Let me know which one is correct. In fact IP 30 back ground is not good options since some times the jobs are not schduling properly , holding even date falls. What is the sap recommendation?

Hi

Background Jobs are heavily used if you interfaces in your projects. Also other streams heavily use this function. These are std SAP functions and i have no problem with Background jobs in my current project.

Thanks. The back ground jobs schdules iam not seeing one of my SAP client. But the orders are creating well. I have checked the SM37, SP01,SP02 T codes.

Hi,

IP30 is basically for background scheduling only. IP10 is used for manual scheduling of Maintenance Plans.
