As defined in SAP, that When you generate statistics in the logistics information system, the system uses the combination of specified statistics groups assigned in (ie Customer master, material master, sales document type, item category) to determine the appropriate update sequence.
I would like to know where do we assign the statistics group for sales document types and item category. Secondly, lets say if i defined an statistic group in customer master - 'A'- material, material master - 'A' - material, which fields and how does the update sequence determines the fields ? Do somewhere we need to mention the name of the field which should be updated and considered while generating the statistical data.
I expect and would appreciate an constructive examples by some big time players.
