Want to Learn BO from Free Trails Download

Hello,

I Just started downloading Business Objects free Trials version as a blind man. I really do not have an idea how to start BO, what are the steps i have to follow for starting.

Dear Friends, i need your full support in working on free trail version download. Please help and clarify in following points.

1) In BI/BW Bex Query designer is a place for designing a query and analyzer for final report outcome.

Here in BO where i could see Crystal reports, Crystal reports for Eclipse, Xcelsius and SAP Business Objects.

2) Where i have to design a query and where i have to view the outcome of report.

Please reply me on above points.

Thanks for your inputs, it's really helped me in understanding and i have lot many question in my mind but i really getting confuse how to frame my questions.

Question:

1) when i checked in this following site, i could notice a lot many components are available for BO.

i would like to know for SAP BI/BW BO, which components we are going to use for development.

2) As i remember in earlier BO 5.0 version is having Universe, BO for Report Designer and Web Intelligence for reports too,

I want to know, in SAP BI/BW cube is a Dimensionall model, do we need to build again a Universe for BO reporting. If not do we need to build a report on Cube directly without using Universe.

Please let me know your comments.

Hi Prashanth,

1. Go to http://help.sap.com/ and Click the Business Objects Tab, you will get different documents productwise and release wise.

If you want to download the Crystal Reports Designer tool, you can download it from the link provided below.

http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/additional_downloads/service_packs/crystal_reports_en.a...

The link is for the full build CRXI Release 2 SP2.

2. If you want to design any report and want to preview it you can use the Crystal Reports Designer tool and other reporting tools of Business Objects - Web Intelligence and Desktop Intelligence.
