Hi friends

I'm getting folowing error message while executing the query in Bex.

Retreiving from the BW server faile.BW server raised EXCEPTION SYSTEM_FAILURE.

And in details it is having the following message

"Errpr group RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE"

Message: Feild Symbol has not assigned.

Please give me the solution for my problem.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi SKR,

Would you like to have a look at the following OSS note

839279.

Symptom

1. When you try to start the BEx Query Designer directly using 'Start' - 'All Programs' - 'Business Explorer' - 'Query Designer', it takes a very long time (around 3 minutes) after you enter the logon data in the subsequent logon dialog box until the connection to the BW server is established and it is possible to work normally with the BEx Query Designer.

2. When you try to start the BEx Analyzer using 'Start' - 'All Programs' - 'Business Explorer' - 'Analyzer' and then to connect to the BW server, an error message appears after you enter the logon data in the logon dialog box with error group 'RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE' and message '/ Protocol error when communicating with SAPGUI' or message '/ connection closed (no data)'.

On the BW server, in transaction ST22 you receive: runtime error 'CALL_FUNCTION_OPEN_ERROR' with termination in the ABAP program "SAPLRSAH" in "RSAH_ENSURE_GUI_VISIBLE"; Include "LRSAHU20".

Other terms

Error Group RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE;

Message / Protocol error when communicating with SAPGUI;

/ connection closed (no data);

CALL_FUNCTION_OPEN_ERROR; SAPLRSAH; RSAH_ENSURE_GUI_VISIBLE; LRSAHU20;

Logon; BEx Frontend, Performance; BEx Analyzer; Query Designer

Reason and Prerequisites

The above-mentioned problems occurred on PCs with a SAPGUI Patch Level 7 and BW 3.5 Frontends with FEP 3 or 4 (Frontend Patch Level 3/4).

The problem is caused not by the BW Frontend, but by the SAP GUI version.

Solution

SAPGUI Patch 8 (gui640_8-10001615.exe) or higher, which is available on the SAP Software Distribution Center: http://service.sap.com/swdc.
