SQL 2005 upgrade to SQL2005 SP2 (SBO1 2007A)

Hi,

there is an SBO1 2007A system on MSSQL 2005 database server. Should I expect any error when I upgrade this SQL server to MSSQL 2005 SP2 server?

Does someone have any experience about this?

Thanks!

Peter

Hi,

First thing what is your purpose why upgrading to SP2, eventually there will be no effect if apply an Service Pack. If your present SQL2005 is working well I advise you not to update. Actually in my own experienced if I would like to apply Service Pack I make sure the SBO1 is not yet installed. Service Pack first then the SBO1 Application.

You have to apply both Service Pack and Patches. In our systems we have applied SP2 which brings the database to the version 9.00.3042 and then applied General Distribution Release as recommended by SAP.
