because we can not give reference of standard if bapi goes out of sap...as outside system wont understand the ref.

suppose you give pa0001-pernr ref then outside system will not understand what is pa0001 and will bapi will give dump

Hi,

Once any Bapi realeased the structures it is using freezed to this bapi, the structure becomes specific to this Bapi, we can not make any changes over there. That is why we need custom structure for creating a custom bapi.
