Hi all,
i have the following scenario:
An employee have the work schedule as such:
1st Week: 8am - 6pm (Mon - Fri), 9am - 1pm( Sat)
2nd Week: 10am - 8pm (Mon - Fri), Off for Sat and Sun
The same schedule will repeat for the next 2 weeks and so on.
I have already created periodic work schedule for the above 2 wks schedule.
However when i tried to create the work schedule rule, what is the day type selection rule that i shld created? The complication here is employee works on alternate sat. If i choose a selection rule where day type is '1' when holiday class = 'B' for saturday, it will not be correct for the week that employee need to work on Saturday.
Pls help!!
Thanks.
Hi,
As you have sequence no in PWC..for each week you need to define difffrent set of DWS.

that was good explanation by KRC
the F1 states this pls check
Definition: day type
Personnel Time Management (PT)
An indicator that a certain calendar day is payment-relevant, that is, an employee is paid for working that day.
An employee's scheduled attendance can differ from the employee's daily work schedule.
Example
Two day types are defined in the standard SAP System. Day type "0" or "blank" indicates a paid workday and day type "1" indicates days that are paid but no work is performed. Therefore, public holidays are assigned the day type "1."
If a calendar day is assigned the day type "1," than the day is considered "off" and is paid, although the employee usually works on that day according to the employee's daily work schedule. This is the case, for example, when a public holiday is a Thursday.

HI
Use the standard day type only..
Please create the DWS for each of it ..and assign the same in the PWS.
EX: Mon - Friday -- One DWS
SAt -
Second DWS ( as per the time mentioned by u )
Off - DWS (Holiday for Sunday as well your Requirement)
USe the above in the PWS...
First PWS : use as per the Above (First Saturday - Second DWS sholud Mentioned)
and in the second Satuday: Mention Off
Hope this will help u..

Hi all,
the problem now is not creating PWS.
I have already created PWS (2 sequences) and is also based on what KRC has said.
The problem is what Day Type selection rule i should select when i create the work schedule rule.
(i.e in table V_T508A).
As mentioned, if i choose a selection rule which is configured such that day type =1 when holiday class = 'b' for sat, it will have day type 1 (Off/paid) for all the saturdays which is not correct for the week that employee needs to work on saturday.
Hi,
The standard rule says,
For Day type for weekday and holiday class
Holiday class: b 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Day type: 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1
So when holiday class on saturday is blank - normal day, the day type is blank which is Work/paid
and when holiday class is 1 - holiday, day type is Off/paid
So if you use the standard one, it should work fine for your alternate saturday off WSR.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Shreyasi.
Hi KRC,
what is the standard one?
Below is the configuration that i have done.
Create 4 daily work schedules:
1) AN1S: 8am - 6pm
2) AN2S: 10am - 8pm
3) AN3S: 9am - 1pm
3) OFF: no planned hours
After which, i created a period work schedule:
ANCL 001 AN1S AN1S AN1S AN1S AN1S AN3S OFF
ANCL 002 AN2S AN2S AN2S AN2S AN2S OFF OFF
After that, i tried to created a work schedule rule and assign the PWS ANCL to this work schedule Rule.
BUT what is the day type selection rule that i shld choose? What is this standard rule that you have been saying?
