Dear Experts,
Please let me know the step-by-step procedure on configuring SAP GUI for HTML, we are using ECC6.0
Thanks
Irfan
hi,
Check if you have activated:
1) With transaction SICF and locate the services by path
/sap/public/bc/its/mimes
/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
2)With Transaction SE80 locate from the menu, Utilities > Settings>Internet Transaction Server (Tab)-->Publish (Tab) and set u201COn Selected
Siteu201D = INTERNAL.
This restricts the publication in the next step to the integrated (internal) ITS.
3)In SE80 only, Locate the Internet Services: SYSTEM and WEBGUI.
Publish these services with the Context Menu -> Publish -> Complete Service
4)Now Browse to http://<server>:<icmport>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/! and login to the webgui.

Hello Gabriel,
If I understand your question correctly, you want to access an ABAP instance using a public IP? If I am correct then you need something in the DMZ. You can do this with an SAP Portal. Some other option's include hosting the standalone SAP Web Dispatcher on a Microsoft Server in the DMZ. I have also just used a Microsoft IIS redirect from the DMZ. There are some other thirdparty solutions using php or python. If you are wanting to use mobile devices then that gets into some other discussions.
Depending on what you want to consume on the backend could require activating either ITS services and some webdynpro functionality.

Hello,
I have another configuration question. We intend to switch to integrated ITS. We will set up a few IAC's due to desired customisation but most transactions will be run through SAP GUI for HTML. In old stand alone ITS we configured the service file theme for webgui to use theme 99 which renders an UI tht looks just like SAPGUI, with the button bar, etc. We'de like to make the switch with as few disruptions to users as possible. Is there a way to maintain that style and avoid moving to the totally menu driven style I'm seeing in integrated SAP GUI for HTML?
Thanks,
Doug
