Hi Experts,
We have a custom workflow which has got 3 activity steps when we are executing the workflow from R/3 through Bapi which is RFC enabled .
But
The same bapi when we call it from webdynpro its executing only Bapi not triggering the workflow
Could please let me know the problem

Check the Background processing for all the task in the workflow and see.

I may not provide exact solution but I can give you some hints to trace it.
1. Check what are you getting in the return message (executing from R/3 & executing from webdynpro)
You can print it in your WD application
2. Are you testing with same userID in both places? If not try with same user ID.
3. Are you sending all parameters required for workflow?

How you excute at the backend the same way you need to execute the RFC's by passing correct inputs like backend.
I guess some steps may be missind at webdynpro code.
Put external breakpoint for RFC execute the webdynpro application you come to know what might be wrong.

Please check the parameter you are passing to RFC. The event is not triggering thats why workflow is not working.
