best method to delete client

Hello All

i want to delete client a from qas server which is the prefer method SCC5 or through OS level

Hello aftab

i would sugesst for scc5 it would be beter option.. as u said u got an error in while client deletion with scc5

then try to reboot ur system once then again go for scc5..now it works

Hello Aftab,

You are facing the same issue what Imran faced few days earlier,I would suggest you to leave it for few hours but if you still want you can go for client deletion from OS level,it would be quite faster.

Me and Imran had a quite detailed discussion on this topic and he was finally able to delete that.

Please refer to following thread for full procedure of step by step procedure

for doing this cleint deletion and let me know of any questions

hi rohit

i go through that link that u mentioned, what imran had did that he deleted the client through r2trans at OS level, but i m doing with SCC5 thats the difference .

i checked in SM50 and also in mmc, both is showing the client is deleting but in actual the table cclstab

had struck for last day... i stopped many times mmc but the status is same

so how i delete that client

Hi Aftab,

Check CPU utilization at OS level. I hope it helps.

Aftab,Imran was facing the same issue as yours and then he decided to delete the client from OS level

You can also go with that method

i started deletion with r3trans before 1.5 hrs but also this time it struck on the same table....

plz give me the right clue to solve that problem .

Did you check the lock of that table on SAP

did you cancelled the client copy from SAP

also check in SM12 is there are locks an that table

If everything is ok,leave it for sometime and let it happen

i checked the entry in sm12 there is no entry there, so i leave it for few more hours

dear aftab

may be ur client size is very big. i am also deleting a cleint 600 gb from three day but it is working regular.

Big client take more time.

hi all

i started client delete from SCC5 last night but next day when i check the status, it was stuck on the table like below this i copy from mmc and same on SM50:

"BGD 5104 Running Yes 6336 SAPLSCCM 300 SAP* Delete CCSELTAB"

so tell me how it stuck in that table

Hello

I would say SCC5 is the best method based on my exp.

but you can do using OS level also,it is faster than SCC5 but SAP also says better to do with SCC5
