Internal error during geocoding

Hi ,

i am getting an error saying "An internal error occured during geocoding or in a related geocoding program." , whenever any adress is maintained in the system.

Message # : GEOCODING004

Internal error in IGS1, DE.RFC: Connection error Destination : IGS_RFC_DEST1

Please suggest any way out.

Hi Amol ..

RFC destination IGS_RFC_DEST1, pointing to a IGS system in not working on your system.

You need to install IGS along with eServer (geocoding engine) from PTV AG to set up the destination properly. Refer to notes 454042 and 934412.

However, if you do not require geocoding functionality, you can simply deactivate it by executing the report GEOCODING_SET_GEOFLAG .

Due to rfc connection is not set, pls set rfc connectio and go ahead.
