Hi,
After a delivery has taken place of a serial numbered item, is it possible to change the chosen serial number to another if the user selected the wrong one.
When trying to use Serial Number Management it gives the following error:
The defined Serial Number exists in stock in a unique field. [Message 29-39]
What I want to do is make the chosen serial number available again, and allocate the correct serial number.
The only work-around I can see is to swap the two serial numbers around using Serial Number Management by renaming the numbers. This works, but leaves the system with the wrong serial numbers assigned to the original purchase receipt.

Hi Tony ,
I think once you have added document like delivery , it can be reversed only by good return if invoice hasn't been generated . So you need to do goods return to return back the item to warehouse and assign correct one to be consistent .
I donot think there is another alternative .
