Hi,

MRP1 view: Plant level

My MRP type is Manual reord.point w. ext.reqs (V1).

ROP=50

Lot size =Replenish to maximum stock level

Maximum stock level=80

MRP4 view: Sloc level

SLoc MRP indicator=2(Storage location stock planned separately)

Reorder point=10

Replenishment qty=60

While runniing MRP in MD03

Reqd qty Avail Qty

Stock 0

MtlRes 0000000054/0000 01 60- 60-

PurRqs 0010000045/00000 01 110 50

SLoc St 0052 StLoc: plnd sep 0 0

TrnRes 0000000054/0000 01 60 60

Now my question is when Preq is created for 110, whic will make our stock to ROL i.e. 50.

Then what is the use of Maximum stock level=80.

Pl explain

hi,

As per your example:

When you use the Manual reorder point planning...at that time, all authorities goes to you ie. for how much qty you have to make the procurement MANUALLY...

And so system allowes to do procurement for 110 qty as well...with is possible with maxixmum lot sixe variant 1(ie. maximum stock level after covering requirements)...and then system again calculates the max. stock level at 50...

This maximum stock will be more usefull when you use the automatic reorder point planning and along with this you use same lot size...at that time system will take those figurues of 80 into consideration and will make the PO/PR of req. qty which will touch max. stock level...

Check this...
