Unable to reorganize BIA with return code 5528 error

Hi,

Reorganize job is not scheduling due to 5528 return code error. It is saying that already one reorg job is active. But i do not see any running job. Also from log executions it is recorded as "Failed".

Is the job running at TREX server ?

Please suggest.

Hi,

Error code 5528 means the nameserver has active plan. Normally not problem but if you have already seen the wrong status in reorg in standalone trexadmin tool then this means some query is hanging.

The reorg job can not be canceled now. You should restart the index server on all the blades. Although running reorg don't need to care the query in general, but if you have big query then please find a time when there is no query running to do the reorg job.

Hi,

have you already tried via TREXAdmin tool to schedule the reorg manually? Have you seen some activity in SM50 on your BW system for the reorg user or BIA reports?

You can find it under the transaction TREXADMIN\advanced mode\Reorg\summary
