Hi
Can you please explain me the functionality of cell editor in Bex Query Designer
Thanks
when you create 2 structures: one for charactoristic, one for keyfigure, you can use the "Cell", with Cell you can specify specific keyfigure restriction logic for every cell
Its used for cell level calculation.
Try searching, this has been discussed a number of times.
Hi,
You can use the cell editor to calculate the x- month rolling average for a key figure.
Cell Editor allows direct definition of specific cells in a query.
The Cell Editor can only be used in query definitions where there are two structures.
Cells can be formulas, selections, references or auxiliary cells.
One structure will hold only characteristics while the other structure holds only key figures.

Hi,
Take a example that you have created a query and based on the particular cell/result of that query you want to do some calculations. In that case you can define the formula/functions based on cell value.

Cell editor is a very powerful feature which lets you define individual cells.
The cell definition overrides the definitions in rows and columns (formulae or selections)
But the global characteristic restrictions or the filters (default values) still apply.
