Salary adjustment reason

Hello,

I have implemented a small scenario for enterprise compensation management and after activating the compensation process that generates salary adjustment I realized no reason was specified.

Do you know if it's possible to assign the reason for the salary change?

Also, is it possible to record this on additional actions (IT 0302 - Additional actions)?

Hi Sikindar,

I know where to configure reason and actions but my question was more if you can decide what reason to use on enterprise compensation management.

Basically when compensation programs are activated they cause a change on IT 0008 and it seems to me the reason is copied from the previous IT 0008 record. My purpose is to record why has the salary change (this particular case would be merit increase).

Do you know if this is possible to configure?

Wht i understod from ur query is when there is compensation programs are activated u need to metiond the reason for this change in salary right ??

That is correct.

I run the report and the changes take place on IT 0008 but I never saw where to define the reason for the changes. Seems odd that SAP would not allow that.

Do you think this needs to be coded on the Activation BADI?

BADI level i dont have idea

Check with ur Techincal Consultant whether there is any BADI is there or not

and lets wait for some other suggestions form our guru

Thanks for your help.

I took a better look at all objects from ECM and noticed that the compensation review item attributes contain the reason for change on "Processing and Activation Parameters" section.

This has caused IT 0008 to have a reason upon activation.

Now regarding additional actions does anyone know if we can create one upon compensation process activation?

Hello

Compensation activation program does NOT create any additional actions.

It will only update IT 8, 15, 267 and 761.

The reason code need to be configured for every review item.

Manager can't choose from portal.

Hi,

There are BAdi's available instead of using the standard process to update infotype 0008 if you use badi than you can specify the reason for action in IT0008

Just check the ECM config node for the badi available for updating IT 0008
