How can I get Solution Manager key from my ECC6 system? Where is the solman key stored? In the database or in an OS file? Is it encrypted?
I used the solman key while installing ECC6 now I'm wondering if I can get it from ECC6?
Thanks
SMULH
hi Syed,
You can get the solution manager key only from a solution manager system.
Find the SAP note

Hello Syed,
If you have the solution manager system, generate the key again for ECC giving the same credentials and you will have the same key which you got the least time

Bhudev is correct. The SolMan key is not stored in the system that it was used to install/upgrade. If you still have your install directory, it may be in one the files in there. I would suspect keydb.xml, but I haven't looked myself.

I guess, now you can't get it from ECC. Solman key is used only at the time for Installation/upgrade of SAP and for temporary purpose, only at that time. And then you install the temporary license or the permanant license via saplicense utility or by using slicense transaction
