Problem with Report creation

Dear all,

After creating and entering all properties for specifications , when i am trying to create a report

specifications>>>reports>>>create report.

I am getting message report template for variant MSDS-US does not contain any spec. symbols.

what may be the probelm.

Check whether MSDS template has any Symbols available 2) Check whether specification data is released and relevant

Hi

Template state is not changing to release ( it is in SW state) on clicking release , giving message "cannot change status of doc MSDS-Example4 version 01" in CG 42 transaction.Pl help me.

Hello

You need to open the template in CG42 and then carry out template check and save. Then try for release it will work.

Hi rajaram ,

Please check the following

check wether wwilayt.dot is present in C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\wwi

If it is maintain properly then its ok otherwise

Name a blank word file with wwilayt.dot and

Maintain this wwilayt.dot in C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\wwi.

The file is available in said link.Even then template is not getting open up and status is still SW.

Hi,

what is the version of SAP are you using? as the status profile for 4.6c and ECC 6 are different, Also check whether if your system has been upgraded from earlier versions, without Status profile objects (DMS configurations);
