Unable to perform release of Standard Price in CK24

Hi Experts,

I have 2 alternative BOMs existing for a Material. For one of the alternative BOM, Material Cost Estimate is created and released. Now for my testing purpose I need to create cost estimate for alternative BOM 2.

For this purpose, I have deleted the existing costing structure in CKR1. This deleted the Standard Cost estimate price in the Material Master. Then I have created another Cost Estimate for the alternative BOM 2. Now, when I am trying to release it in CK24, in the first step when I am selecting Marking allownace itself, it is showing in released state, inspite of deletion in CKR1 and creation of New one in CK11N. Even if I go to release step also, no items are picking up and no Standard Price in Material master also.

Hi

As per my Knowledge we can not update the Standard price in Material master more than once per period. U can update the cost in next month or period only.

For cost checking purpose u can run the Cost estimate in CK11N with the alternative BOM details but can not update the material standard price with the new price in the same period. Hope this helps

Hi,

Check whether you maintained this alternative BOM in the production version for the material in the material master MRP 4 view.

first change the alternative BOM as 2 in the production version (existing)

or create the new P.V and enter the alternative BOM as 2 .

IN ck11n :

and give NEW production version

and enter the bom usage and alternative BOM as 2

Then do the ck24

Hi Raj,

Thank you for your revert. I have maintained the Production Version in Material Master. I have executed the CK11N with the New Production Version without changing the Costing Version.

Now in CK24, when I am executing the first step Marking Allowance, then for the company code, released indicator is already existing. and if I execute Release transaction, then nothing is coming out

Can you please give some inputs on this

Hi,

It means old std cost estimate was not deleted properly.

While do delete the std cost estimate for the current period in CKR1. check what control parameter that you choose.

The control parameter should be Current Standard Cost Estimates

After did the in CKR1 , check in the materail master MM02 / costing view 2 / std cost estimate tab /

under the current period the std cost estimate should be zero.

Hi All,

Thank you. Actually first time itself the previous estimate got deleted correctly and Material price was set to zero. I was executing the CK24 transaction incorrectly, hence not updated the price later.

Now I have executed the transaction CK24 and the correct price picked and New price updated in the Material Master for the current period
