Hi experts,
When user enter Goods Recipient in Header Level and proceed to enter the material at Item Level, Goods Recipient from Header Level will be inherited into Item Level. Now if user change the Goods Recipient in Header Level, it won't be reflected in Item Level (Material 1). Item created after the changes will inherit the new Goods Recipient (Material 2).
ENTER Goods Recipient (Header) : Warehouse
Material 1 - Goods Recipient (Item) : Warehouse (inherit)
CHANGE Goods Recipient (Header) : Purchasing
Material 2 - Goods Recipient (Item) : Purchasing (inherit)
CREATE Reservation
Goods Recipient (Header) : Purchasing
Material 1 - Goods Recipient (Item) : Warehouse
Material 2 - Goods Recipient (Item) : Purchasing
My idea is to grey out the Goods Recipient in Header Level once user enter a value so that user cannot change the Goods Recipient anymore. Therefore all the item created will have the same Goods Recipient at Header and Item Level.
In the same screen, Cost Center in Header Level was grey out once user enter a value into it. How can I do the same to Goods Recipient?
Is there any other way to do this instead of what I am thinking of?
I would like to do some checking during reservation creation. My validation will be based on Cost Center, Goods Recipient and Material Code. It will affect my validation result if the Goods Recipient is not consistent between Header and Item Level.
Thanks and regards,
JT
Solved by using transaction variant.
