Logon not possible (Error in license check)

Former Member

Hi,

I am a SDN subscriber and successfully installed SAP Netweaver 7.0 SR3 on Solaris 10/08 oracle 10.2.0.4 database.

Got the new license key file (Digitally-Signed License Key) and successfully installed with user sap*.

But when I logon with newly created user it gives an error "Logon not possible (Error in license check)"

I tried following but did not work out.

-- Reinstall license key twice and show license installed successfully.

-- Cannot install license from command prompt (saplicense -install -ifile=filename.txt) it gives an error "license key file is digital" try installing by login to system".

-- Tried to recreate another user same problem.

-- was able to logon with temp license but once temp license deleted cannot logon with new permenent license.

-- only one user sap* can logon.

-- SLICENSE shows license in database with staus "Green"

-- Harware key, installation number verified. seems ok.

-- When I am trying to install temp license it gives an error message " There is a permenent license key for "NetWeaver_ORA" in the system but it has never been checked successfully. In this situation a temporary license key must not be installed.

If anyone had similer problem and found the solution please post it. would be appreciated for the solution.

Thanks

Atul

Hi Atul.

It looks like problem with license only. You cannot install digitally signed license from OS level..

Make sure that Hardware key should be correct.

Try below thing:

1) Logon with user sap*

2) Delete permanent license.

3) Then reinstall it. If problem persists then try to install maintenance license.

Thanks

very tricky issue.

By mistake one of my colleague entered quote in front of the $, removed the quote and restarted the application its up and able to login with normal userids.

wrong one:

ssl/ssl_lib = "$(DIR_EXECUTABLE)$(DIR_SEP)$(FT_DLL_PREFIX)sapcrypto$(FT_DLL)

correct one:

ssl/ssl_lib = $(DIR_EXECUTABLE)$(DIR_SEP)$(FT_DLL_PREFIX)sapcrypto$(FT_DLL)

Hi,

For install new license

please do the following:

1.Login with 000 client with sap* and password(given password during the installation time)

2.T-code:slicense

3.First delete the old licenses with red mark appeared in the main screen of slicense page and----------go to------general information----here you will find the some of the old licenses with red mark.Delete all these licenses. Why because when you restart the server some times slicense page shows the installation number is initial or SAP-INTERN.

4.Thats why delete all the sap licenses shown above.

5.Install the new license downloaded from service market places

   path:service.sap.com/licensekeys

6.After restart the server.

5.you will see new license

This information is very usefull when you applying the new license in the CRM server

Hi,

This problem occurs when cluster has been switched over to another node. and there is a license issue on NODE "B"

OR

Temporary License expired after the initial period of 4 weeks

OR

Haterogeneous system copy performed and after the activity no new license has been installed with new hardware key.

Solution:

Login to system with user SAP*

Tcode : SLICENSE

Delete all permanent licenses and install generated new license

I solved this issue by requesting the correct license. In service.sap.com/license_keys I have been requesting for a license key with GoLive. I requested for the correct license without GoLive and everything were succesful

Hi Atul,

In Instance Profile,What is the value of parameter:rdisp/wp_no_dia? Mae it lesser than the present value.

I think the issue will be resolved.

Regards.

Hi,

Check the hardware key present on server and the key given while requesting license key could be different.

That why you are getting licnese check error.

Thanks

Hi Atul,

In your DEFAULT profile DEFAULT.PFL, if you have the parameter rdisp/msserv_internal set, delete that parameter and restart the system; see if you still the get license error after the restart.

Thanks,

Sai.

Can you check if the DB users OPS$ and SAPSR3 is locked. If they locked unlock it and retry installing the license again.

Hi,

Please check your Database, it occurs due to insufficient space in the table spaces or archive logs and redo logs. The problme is in your database not at sap level, After increasing the space please do the databse check. You might be able to log in with only sap* user in the clinet 000.

Thanks and Regards,

Nisar

Hi,

Please try the bellow mentioned and check for the detail log..

Please post the detail log after the test so that we can further debug the error

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/a7/512caf407a11d1893b0000e8323c4f/content.htm

I think the Db is brought from SAP only... if not check for the Db license need to be put...

Please check for any dev_slic file and post the same.

Thanks & Regards,

Hello Atul,

With digital license there should not be any need of restart of system.

even after installation of license you are getting error for license, then please check work process logs which you can find in /usr/sap/SID/DV*/work directory.

Have you activated HTTPS port on your system or upgraded kernel for your system?

Because this error will be misleading even if actual error is of sapcrypto.

Hence please check work process logs, and paste the same here.

I tried installing maintaince certificate same issue.

-

run saplicense -test it seems license is not written on to database checked on log file what could be the reason.

Wah, are you read the replys ? Are you check the dev_w0 log for example to check the error ? In any case looks like the problem are in license and you need to open call to SAP.

P.S. Are you check the DATE are correct on your server ?

Regards.

Check your Dev_w* file. See if there is anything in the trace file regarding your problem.

They are in your /usr/sap/SID/dvebmgs**/work directory

Hi Atul,

Logon to 000 client with sap* and delete all the licenses present in the system.

Restart the system and try install the license again.

Also check if the archive log dir is also full.

Check if your "sapms<SID>" port is configured to 36NN - NN: System number.

Verify whether your Hardware key on Server matches that as requested to SAP.
