how to embed the UserID and Password in WSDL

Hi

is there any way to embed the UserID and Password in the WSDL file that is generated by XI.

Hi Madhav!

No, as far as I know not. But you can manually edit the generated WSDL (e.g. by Textpad) and add these information as comment tags. Please be careful when editing the WSDL. Some tools like e.g. Wordpad leave invisible footprints in the edited document making it NOT well-formed XML.

But the question is what is the sense of a password, if everybody can read it ....

Hi,

It is not possible by using SOAP adapter. But you can use http adapter with user and password instead of SOAP adapter.

user-id and password can be maintained in the URL ......check this blog which mentions the use of sap-user and sap-password parameters:
