Hi,
I have a report named "Forecast Availability Report", I want to download it to excle file.
I click "Document-> save to my computer as-> Excel" , and a pop-up shows, and it says "Do you want to open or save this file
Name: Forecast_availability_Report.xls
Type: Microsoft Excel worksheet
"
I know the Excle file name will set as the report title by default.
But after I changed my language of IE explorer option to Japanese, and I download again, the default Excel file name is not correct, it change to "Forecast_Av.xls" .Another example ,report title is "Employee Hours and Revenue by Week ", the excel file
name is "Employee_Ho.xls". It seems that if IE language is Japanese, then the Excle file name is truncated, and only can display 10 chars.
Could you please tell me how to resolve this issue?
thanks in advance!
Regards,
Tony

Hi
there is a related correction in Service Pack 4. It is not exactly the truncating problem, but only solutions for problems which are reported from external customers are documented. I think it may be worth it to try this.
ADAPT00823802
Description:
When a Web Intelligence report is saved as PDF or Excel from the HTML View mode in InfoView, a space in the file name is
replaced by an underscore.
New Behavior:
This problem is resolved.
Spaces now remain in the file name.

Hello Stratos,
I get the reply from SAP
==================================================================================================
In the case the locale of interface is Japanese, title is more than 12 charaters, WEBI document saving to Excel file, in the file download box, only display the first 11 characters, this is the limitation of XI R2 product. You can add character after the file name, or you can use a short file name.
I can't upgrade my BO. I use boxir2win_sp4_inc.exe,but it fails...
Hi Tony,
IE 9 and WEBi Rich client, the report name is working fine. Could you please let me know which browser you are using?
Thanks,
Jesudas
