Delta not working from ODS to Cube

Dear All,

In one of the system, we have delta working properly from source system to ODS. But, while loading data from ODS to cube, delta brings only zero records. Earlier, change log table for ODS was corrupted, so we had activated ODS directly in the system using program RSDG_ODSO_ACTIVATE.

I have checked evry thing including correct INIT and all, but RSA3 only doesnt bring any delta records, although there is delta in ODS below. Please let me know, for any other thing I can check and try.

Hello Harpal,

1. Check your DTP/ Info Package,see if it is activated and check for selections if any(in case ur using DTP).

2. Check Data Mart Status to see if the last request is really not updated to the data Target.

Maybe you have changed the extraction structure(start as 8xxxxx from ODS to Cube)occasionally, you can try to the following steps:

1.right click ODS;

2.select addtional function-generate export datasource;

3.activate datasource 8xxxxxx;

4.initialize delta process for the infopackage;

Regarding the datamart to cube.

I suggest how about if you recreate the delta.

1. Right click in the ODS - additional functions - update data to data target

2. Choose for init.

3. Delete the current init : scheduler - init option for source system (delete the current init).

4. Init the data without data transfer.

5. You can schedule again the delta infopackage.

Since change log was corrupted, hence check change log to see if data is present for that request waiting to be updated to cube. If not present, then delete the new delta request from DSO, update it, and activate it again to generate the change log. Then proceed with the delta.

If you are using the infopackage method, look for the concerned datamart's export datasource in the myself system grouping. right-click on that and manage your delta. Ideally you should be able to delete the delta modes that have been initialized. Once successful, go ahead and run a new init. That should get your delta loads going forward.

Hi Tapish,

Thanks for the reponse.Both these points are Ok. I am using infopackage and there was no selection in INITor DELTA. Still, delta is not working. It is system wide problem and not specific to one flow.
