Material issue for Service order from Different plant

Hi All,

My client wants to issue excisable materials form excisable plant 3001(excise registered) to a Service order planned in a Service plant 4001(unregistered for excise) using movement type 261.

ECC6.0 also allows to do so.

1. Excisable material from excisable plant 3001 directly

2. Other materials from Service plant

We recommended to transfer the stock to Service plant 4001 from the Excisable plant3001 and issue the material. Client does not want to do so, because of more transactions and he wants to raise excise invoice to the customer.

What would be impact if allow them to issue material from excisable plant 3001 to the Service order in nonexcisable plant 4001?

Appreciate if anybody throw some lights on this.

I configured the 4001 plant as maint plant and attached all the Equipment in this plant.

Thanks in Advance,

Babu

Pete,

No, Same Company code

Also client wants to generate excise invoice for exciseable materials ( from 3001 plant) and commercial invoice for other materials through Debit Memo Request.

Is there any Business Impact if I issue material from one plant to an order in another plant? Is there any SD / FI implications?

Awaiting your thoughts...

Babu,

Plant-to-Plant within the same company code has no impact on SD, though it will hit FICO.
