Hi all,
I have created a UAT database for my client, they have entered some testing transactions in the database, is there any method to clear the transactions in the database so that I don't have to redo all the settings?
Please help!
Paddy
Hi Paddy........
Its not possible to delet the transaction. If you try also it can harm your database. The simplest way is to generate new database. and try to transfer all the settings and master data through Copy Express Addon. It does not take a long time. Within half an hour it will get transfered.

Hi Paddy
Basically we cant delete anything from sap, whenever u r doing some new tasks take a backup d copy ur same orginal Backup to one more database d test it on that done test in production DB. Always run parallely with test DB d in production Db, so whatever u have to test first test in test db then go head in production db.

Hi!
I belive, we can Recover the DB at an OLD Time using Point in Time Recovery.
I haven't tried this so far, Let we take this opportunity to test the same.
1. Take a Defrential BackUp of you DB for TransLog.
2. Take a Full Set Backup.
3. Restore a very old DB (Even u don't do any setting on that), selecting the option Leave for Recovery.
4. Restore the TransLog on the DB selecting Files on Restore Option.
5. Select a Particular time example : 2 days before and say restore
Check it...

hi Paddy Chan
There is no way to delete the transaction, there is only two way to solve your problem
1.Restore a before transaction backup if u have,
2.create a new database and redo the settings, for importing masters write a SQL query then export to excel, this will give u update masters list
