ME21/ME22 - Are there any solution to make error when qty.PO > qty.PR

Dear Expert,

Our version of SAP system is ECC 6.0.

When user create / change PO with tcode ME21N / ME22N that refer to PR qty is over from qty PR, there is a standard error that deliverd by SAP.

"06 076 Materials of requisition & item & alr. ordered in full E".

But when they are create / change using tcode ME21 / ME22, this standard error messages not effected.

Would you please give me a solution for this issue.....

Best regards,

Dedy

This is on purpose by design.

if you want this error message, then use the new enjoy transactions.

for reference see OSS note 785513

O....well

Anyway....

Can we use a user exit for this matter only for tcode ME21 and ME22?

and....

Do you have a logic that have the same purpose like when qty PO over from qty in PR in tcode ME21N / ME22N?

The userexit is probably accessed from old AND new transactions.

If you add this check and message in a userexit, then you have to condition this on the used transaction code.

No I dont know which user exit to use.

Why do you need to use this old transactions? the new are already there for years. We only allow these transaction for batch inputs, as the new one cannot be used for batch inputs.

Because our user still uses this tcode. (ME21 and ME22) beside ME21N and ME22N.....

if you dont use batch inputs, then close the old transaction with SM01
