assign datasource problem

CAN I ASSIGN THE DATASOURCE 2LIS_04_P_MATNR IN THIS WAY

0PP_DS01(ODS)-> 0PP_DS15(ODS)-> 0PP_C01(CUBE)

hi Sangram,

you can assign datasource to infosource,

then create update rules from ods and infocube,

assign with that infosource, one datasource can just

be assigned to one infosource, one infosource can be

assigned to more than one infoproviders' update rules.

checking sap help

ods 0PP_DS01 assigned with infosource 2LIS_04_P_MATNR,

ODS 0PP_DS15 should be assigned with InfoSource 0PP_DS01

and infocube assigned with infosource 2LIS_04_P_MATNR

you can install business content infosource 2LIS_04_P_MATNR with 'in dataflow afterward',

system will then take care the update rules of ods and cube.

one infosource can be assign more than one infoprovider but here i am assign the infosource 2lis_04_p_matnr the data targate 0PP_DS01-> 0PP_DS15

BUT AGAIN I AM ASSIGN 0PP_DS15 -> 0PP_C01

MY QUESTION IS CAN I ASSIGN THE INFOSOURCE TO THIS DATA TARGET

Hi,

u can assign one datasource to only one info source

and u can assign multiple datasources to one infsource

in ur case

yes u can

u can assign one inf source ur more than one infoproviders for that u need to create the update rules betw them

Sangaram,

1) Assign data source '2LIS_04_P_MATNR' to Infosource 1st., simply right click and assign datasource on infsource..

2) Assign that Infosource to the ODS (or) Cube as per your need. you can select ods or cube and say right click and select create update rule..

over here you give, Infosource name.

Hello,

The BC data model here is:

datasource 2lis_04_p_matnr maps to infosource by the same name.

This infosource maps to 5 data targets:0PP_DS01(an ODS) and 4 cubes:0PP_C01,0PP_C02,0PP_C14 and 0PP_C10.

U too can view this by going to rsa1-business content-in left click on infosources-then hit a search for this infosource-then right click on infosource and click on display description-then in next screen click on the button 'display network of data flow'.

A new diagram will be shown that gives full idea of all connected data objects in this BC data model.

Activate the objects and connect them as per the BC model.
