Discount issue on a value contract

Hi Experts,

I have created a value contract which contains 4 materials.

I have put a Discount % on Gross of 5 % on the header thinking that it will have an effect on the target value but when I create a Contract Release Order it's appears on the material item level.

How can I put a discount on the target value, please ?

Hi,

As a std functionality a value contract can be with zero qty .But while creating the PO system asks for the PO qty.you can not release a order to vendor with zero qty.

I have managed to create value contract with no qty at material item level. I have fixed a target value but when I create the first PO (first contract release order functionality) and I put a higher value in the PO (compared to the target value of the contract) => system does not indicate that the total amount of the PO exceed the target value of the contract (no warning/error message).

Is it standard functionality? How can I manage this ? (I need the syst. gives message during the PO creation and indicates that the total amount of the PO exceed the target value of the contract)

Hi,

Contact release orders will be for a partial qty/value of the contract and hence they apply on the items only.this is a std functionality.If you have it at header level , individual invoicing for the partial relese orders will become difficult.

I would like to create a value contract which contains material to be release against the conrtact.

I have a target value on the header and the contract contains 4 materials (I do not want to put any target quantity at material level, only price)

Requirement: I would like to create PO's with the contract release order functionality and to put in the PO the material (contained in the value contract) I need.

But: I don't want to put any target quantity on material level (just a price) and I need the system gives message if the target value (on the header) is exceeded by the total amount of the material release against this contract (in all the PO's created)

Can I manage this ?

maintain a discount condition in ur pricing schema so that it should be calculated on target order value
