Hi

I faced the same problem. Manually started the SAP0sCol() from windows services and changed the start up properties as "Automatic". Then it goes well.

I copy this message from

Re: Exception condition "WRITE_FAILED" raised during installation 4.0

Hi

Error1 : I cannot see any SID from sapmmc.

check

1) whether sap ( C:\usr\sap) directory is shared.Share name should be saploc. ( right click on folder sap --> Properties --> sharing )

2) This also could be missing DLLs.To install the missing DLLs execute 'R3DLLINS.EXE'. This is attached to note 684106.

Error 2:

saposcol runs under user SAPService<sid> user. Try to reset the password for this user and change the same in services.

After changing the password go to start --> run -> services.msc , there right click on SAPOSCOL --> properties --> put the new password there and start the service .

Also check whether sapservice<sid> is added to policies like log on as service and access this computer from network.

You can see this from Local security settings ( control panel --> Administrative tool ) --> Locaacl Polices --> User Rights assignment.

Thanks

Prince

dear prince

I haven't finished your solutions...

however i found something strange...

In "log on as a service", i cannot add SAPservice<SID>.

For more screen shots are here....

Is it a local installation or domain installation? Did you login as admin to do these changes?

Thanks

it is a domain installation

Domain name : SAP

-. sol07mgr : domain admin account

-. administrator : local admin account

-. sm4adm

they all showed the same screen.

so i went to PDC and added SAPServiceSM4, sm4adm in "log on as a server" menu.

however, the result is same as before..

Thanks prince jose

Dear prince jose

I solved the problem.

as you mentioned before, it's related to the password...

I put some screenshots here...

<a href="http://itedu24.net/solman/09 5.1 Starting and Stopping the SAP System200605190949.doc">09 5.1 Starting and Stopping the SAP System200605190949.doc</a>

I wonder why I need to do it manually.

What do you think the causes?
